He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics from 2007 through 2011.The Athletics drafted Braden out of Texas Tech University in the twenty fourth round of the 2004 MLB Draft. On May 9, 2010, Braden pitched a perfect game, the nineteenth in baseball history.
