Altrincham Leisure Centre provides a well-equipped sports facility, along with Total Fitness, a state-of-the-art health and fitness club. Outside the town, Altrincham Golf Course is 5 minutes drive away and Altrincham is also home to Altrincham Football Club – The Robins.

Altrincham’s Ice Dome has a 2500-seater temporary ice rink and is home to the Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Team. The Ice Dome’s Silver Blades ice rink offers a full range of community skating sessions, a junior development programme for ice hockey and a selection of educational programmes and professional coaching for all ages.

If you would like a break from the hustle and bustle of town, Stamford Park, off Moss Lane, is less than 5 minutes walk away. Over 125 years old, it provides a tranquil setting with its own duck pond, plenty of seating and crown green bowling on certain days.

Altrincham also has a number of heritage and sports attractions close by, including Dunham Massey Hall & Gardens, the Imperial War Museum-North and Chill Factor as well as Manchester United and Lancashire County Cricket Club.
