 Trafford Shopmobility and Access
Group are based at the Regent Road car park in
Altrincham.
The Shopmobility scheme provides powered and
non-powered wheelchairs and scooters. These can be
hired on an hourly basis or for longer periods if
required, the rate for powered
scooters/wheelchairs is £2.00 per hour or £50.00
per week, non powered wheelchairs are also
available.
The service is available for use by anybody with
mobility difficulties either as a result of
permanent or temporary disablement, on your first
visit you will be asked to fill out a simple form
and provide two forms of identity, the staff will
then help you to choose the best vehicle for your
needs and how to operate this safely. If you
expect to become a regular user of the service a
yearly membership of just £25.00 allows unlimited
hire of powered and non-powered wheelchairs and
scooters each time you come into the town.
Opening hours are Monday – Saturday 10am – 3pm, (as this service is manned by volunteers it is
advisable to ring before attending for the first
time).
